If you're looking for a finger-lickin' good joint to get your grub on this weekend, grab your bibs and hand wipes because we've found three BBQ places near St. Louis you'll be writing home about just like we are!

Pappy's Smokehouse

Named number one on the Food Network's list of "Top 5 Barbecue Ribs in America," Pappy's Smokehouse serves up BBQ that's all Memphis right here in St. Louis. They slow smoke their meats for 14 hours over sweet apple or cherry wood before slathering them with one of their four BBQ sauces.

We recommend going all in and ordering a full slab of their award-winning ribs with a side of baked beans and sweet potato fries. As for the sauce, our favorite is Jane's Sweet Sauce. It's named after Pappy's granddaughter and has an extra bit of sweetness to it.

The best part-Pappy's can come to you! They ship BBQ anywhere in the U.S. with no shipping fee. Visit them on Facebook for updates on local events they'll be serving at.

SharpShooters Pit and Grill

Peanut butter and jelly, movies and popcorn-some things just go well together, including BBQ and sharpshooting. That's right, Sharpshooters Pit and Grill is located in the StL SharpShooter building, the largest world-class indoor shooting range in St. Louis. Inside, you'll find mouth-watering brisket and turkey, smoked on site daily. The meat's so fresh that when they sell out, they close their doors, so get it while it's hot!

Range members, listen up, because you can get a 15% discount. Order a Beef Brisket BBQ Plate with a side of slaw and check them out on Facebook for featured menu items and daily specials.

Adam's Smokehouse

Adam's Smokehouse was born from the passion of Frank Vinciguerra and Mike Ireland, two veterans of the BBQ biz. If you notice that their meats are distinctly flavorful, it's because they coat their slow-smoked ribs in apple butter and torch them to caramelize and seal in that sweet flavor.

Order the ribs as a half or full slab, or go straight for a whole slow-smoked chicken that's been glazed with cranberry sauce and torched. Slather it in a sweet-and-spicy cranberry cayenne sauce and enjoy it with a side of pit beans and potato salad.

They also deliver in the St. Louis area, so follow them on Facebook for snapshots of some of their favorite dishes.

Get in the 'Que

If your mouth is watering for some great BBQ in the St. Louis area, head to any of the places we mentioned above for a good night out and a meal you'll be dreaming about. Many of these places sell meat so freshly smoked that they close shop when they sell out, so go ahead and get in line while it's fresh!
