Santa’s North Pole Dash

Few characters are as iconic as Santa. He is one of the first things that come to mind when you think of Christmas, and at Santa's North Pole Dash in historic St. Charles, you can become one of 3,000 Santas that vie for top prize!

It's important to be fast-but being jolly is the real key to winning this race!

About the Race

Those who participate in Santa's North Pole Dash can run the 5K for $40 or take part in the 1-mile walk for $35. You can come decked out in your finest North Pole attire, but you'll also be provided with a long-sleeved shirt, hat, beard, and gloves!

Any little ones who don't want to participate in Santa's North Pole Dash can run in the Children's Snowman Shuffle for just $25. It starts at Riverside and Jefferson and goes to the finish line.

The 5K and 1-mile walk start at 8:30 a.m. at Riverside Drive and Pike Street. The Snowman Shuffle starts at 8:00 a.m.

Start at Frontier Park

Everyone that enters Santa's North Pole Dash will also get tickets to the pancake breakfast at Frontier Park. It's a great way to carb-load before the big run.

You'll get to enjoy the picturesque views of the Missouri River while eating your breakfast. Plus, a few laps around the paved hiking trails will get you warmed up and ready to run. You can even get your photo taken with the 15-foot statue of Lewis & Clark!

St. Charles Christmas Traditions Celebration

Santa's North Pole Dash is part of the annual Christmas Traditions Celebration in Historic St. Charles. It's been creating wholesome holiday memories for the folks of this city for over 40 years! There's live entertainment, Christmas characters, and eye-catching decorations!

If you're looking to do some Christmas shopping after the race, you're in luck. Some of the shops along Main Street will be offering special discounts to runners. Simply show up in your race shirt and get 10, 15, even 20 percent off your purchases!
