Electric Engine
The Nissan LEAF is an all-electric vehicle with multiple engine and motor options, depending on what trim you're interested in. The standard electric motor in the LEAF is a 110kW AC synchronous electric motor. You'll get 147 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque out of this motor. On one full charge, you'll be able to go an EPA-estimated 149 miles.1
Interior Comfort and Cargo
The Nissan LEAF has space to hold it all; whether you're taking a road trip with friends or just running some daily errands, you'll have a maximum of 30 cubic feet of cargo space. Even with the rear sets up, you'll still get 23.6 cubic feet of space to work with.
Not only does everyone have space to keep comfortable, but you'll also get many other interior comforts that make driving the LEAF a pleasant experience. For those chilly mornings, enjoy the available heated front seats and available heated steering wheel.
Seating is just as important in the Nissan LEAF. If you're a fan of the look and feel of leather, the SL Plus trim comes standard with leather-appointed seats. Additionally, you can opt for the available 8-way power-adjustable driver's bucket seat with a 2-way adjustable lumbar for drivers. You'll stay comfortable for the whole drive.
Driver Safety Features
To keep you safe while on the road, Nissan has a standard suite of safety and driver-assist features called the Safety Shield® 360. For added peace of mind, you can opt for additional available technological safety features that fall under the Safety Shield® 360 umbrella. Some of the standard features are:
- Rear Automatic Braking-While you're in reverse, this system monitors behind your vehicle for obstacles that you might not see. If it senses one and you don't stop, your LEAF will stop automatically.
- High Beam Assist-To help out at night, the high beams switch automatically to low-beam when another vehicle is detected ahead. When the other car is gone, the high beams come back on automatically.
- Blind Spot Warning-When you change lanes, your LEAF will monitor blind spots and let you know if a vehicle is in one of your blind spots.
- Lane Departure Warning-If you are unintentionally drifting out of your lane, this system will notify you of it. This way, you change lanes only when you want to.
