Nissan LEAF: An Electric Performance

The Nissan LEAF has five different trim levels and two different batteries. The base trim level comes standard with a 110 kW AC synchronous electric motor that gets you rolling down the streets of Missouri with 147 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque at your disposal.

However, if you desire a little more speed and power, you can always go with the robust 160 kW motor. It cranks out 214 horsepower and 250 lb-ft of torque and is available on the S Plus, SV Plus, and SL Plus trim levels.

The standard 40 kWh battery lets drivers enjoy an EPA-estimated range up to 149 miles, while the 62 kWh battery offers an EPA-estimated range up to 226 miles.1 Both choices allow you to cover plenty of ground and go on about your day before it's time to charge the engine.
