If you just got the new Nissan Rogue, then congratulations. You made an excellent choice, but now it's up to you to take care of it. To ensure that your Rogue stays on the road for as long as possible, you need to start looking into preventative maintenance. Car maintenance isn't just about fixing problems. It's also about preparing your car for upcoming problems and preventing other problems for ever happening in the first place.

In order to make sure your Nissan Rogue stays on the road for as long as possible, it's a good idea to put it on a maintenance schedule. Don't think that this schedule will mean weekly trips to our service center. These visits happen twice a year when you should be getting your oil changed anyways. Learn more about our recommended 2018 Nissan Rogue maintenance schedule and learn where you can get the best service in the St. Charles, St. Louis, O'Fallon and Saint Peters areas.

7,500 Mile Service

Around 7,500 Miles, you should get your first service. This should take about six months, but if you hit the six month mark before 7,500 miles, go ahead and bring your Rogue in. The main thing you need to do in your first service is get your oil and oil filter changed. Make sure you get this done every six months. Oil is the lifeblood of your Rogue, and you need it working in top condition. Make sure you repeat this service as well as all subsequent services at regular intervals meaning you get the six month service every six months, the one year service ever year, etc.

15,000 Mile Service

If you haven't already, get your tires rotated after you've had the Rogue for about a year. Go ahead and have the mechanic perform a full safety inspection to make sure nothing is deteriorating faster than it should. You should also get your cabin and engine air filter changed about once a year as well. If your brakes are squeaking at this point, go ahead and get them inspected, but it's likely they'll be just fine.

30,000 Mile Service

After 30,000 miles, your fluids will start to wear down, so it's a good idea to get them replaced. This includes the transmission fluid, the brake fluid and your engine coolant. You should also get your tires replaced entirely if you want reliable performance. Have the mechanic check your spark plugs too. They might have worn down by now.

60,000 Mile Service

This is the time where you start seeing big replacements. Your timing belt and driving belt need to be replaced along with your differential fluid. Go ahead and get a full inspection done to see if anything else needs to get changed. Don't forget to repeat the 30,000 Mile service here. It's extremely important.

90,000 Mile Service

It's time for more replacements here. Not only does your engine coolant need to be flushed and replace, but the engine coolant hose itself might need replacing as well. Go ahead and get your shock absorber/strut replaced along with your timing belt and driving belt again.

105,000 Mile Service

This is the big one. It's time to get your engine mount replaced. Save up for this service because an engine mount replacement is going to be costly no matter where you go. Have the mechanic check your system for oil leaks. You wouldn't want any wear on your suspension bushings from leaky oil.
